Announcing the High Desert Helicopters “Summer of Aviation” event! This free event will be held on August 9th, 2008 at the High Desert Helicopters flight training academy in Ogden, Utah. Anyone interested in training to become a professional helicopter pilot should not miss this event!
The following helicopter pilot employers and aircraft manufactures will be presenting and sharing their views on the current state and future outlook of the industry:
Hear it straight from pilot employers and industry experts! The helicopter industry is in desperate need of skilled, qualified pilots. High Desert Helicopters will also talk about their “career-ready” training program and unmatched learning environment. You’ll also want to tour the brand new High Desert Helicopters training facility!
Select industry aircraft will be flown in and on display just for this event. View the aircraft up close and personal. Also, schedule a hands-on discovery flight with one of our trainers and sample High Desert education for yourself.

High Desert Helicopters Aviator Scholarships
During the latter part of this year High Desert Helicopters will award one $5,000 and two $1,000 Aviator scholarships. Details about the scholarship application process will be announced at the Summer of Aviation event. Attendance at the event is not a requirement for the scholarship but it may help.
Additionally, as part of the Summer of Aviation, High Desert Helicopters is offering a $500 sign-on bonus to any student enrolling in the full professional program before August 9th. This amount would be in addition to any awarded Aviator scholarship.
Students must be enrolled in the High Desert Helicopters Full Professional Program to be eligible to receive an Aviator scholarship. Full details will be announced on August 9th.
