| High Desert Aviator Scholarship Program

The High Desert Aviator Scholarship Program was created to help attract new talent to the helicopter industry. The scholarship will be awarded to at least three candidates annually based on demonstrated aptitude, professionalism and financial need.
The helicopter industry faces a unique human resources challenge in the years ahead. Highly qualified pilots are in short supply. High Desert Helicopters hopes to alleviate the financial challenges of the most promising prospective students through this new scholarship program.

- High Desert Aviator Scholarships are only available to those not currently enrolled as a student at High Desert Helicopters as of August 8th, 2008. By definition, this means that you have not completed orientation at High Desert Helicopters before this date.
- You may be awarded a scholarship before being accepted as a student at High Desert Helicopters. However, the scholarship benefit can only be used for training at High Desert Helicopters.
- A minimum of three scholarships will be awarded; one for $5,000 training credit and two or more for $1,000 training credit each.
- The scholarship is non-transferable, has no cash value, and must be applied to CFI and/or CFII training with High Desert Helicopters during calendar year 2009.
- The application deadline is October, 1st 2008.
- Award recipients will be personally notified and this information will be posted on hdhelicopters.com after November 1st, 2008.

- One or both of the following
- A maximum five hundred (500) word essay describing why you want to become a professional helicopter Pilot.
- A video presentation describing why you want to become a professional helicopter Pilot. Not to exceed 4 minutes. You must be the presenter and appear on the video. We will only accept videos on DVD, playable in a standard DVD player.
- Maximum one (1) page description of service you have provided for school, community, or religious entities.
- Maximum one (1) page description of leadership qualities you posses and how you have demonstrated these in the past.
- Maximum one (1) page description of your career goals.
- A list of any awards, certificates and scholarships that you have received.
- Three letters of recommendation.
- Send all items in one envelope to our office address:

- Items must be mailed and post marked or hand delivered no later than October 1st, 2008.

| Scholarship Review Process
|

|
|
Scholarships will be reviewed by a panel and ranked on the following:
- Attention to detail and professionalism
- Realistic career expectations
- Accomplishments to date
- Financial need
- Sincerity
|
